How to Reach Biratnagar?

WordCamp Biratnagar 2018 is going to held in Biratnagar city on 22nd December 2018. Biratnagar lies in the meridional Terai or plains, of Eastern Nepal.

Biratnagar’s atmosphere is rated as warm and balmy. In Biratnagar, the average year-end temperature is 24.3 °C. While the winters have very light rainfall in Biratnagar and not excessively cold in contrast to other parts of the nation. Biratnagar lies in the terai Border of Nepal.

From Different Cities of Nepal

It is obvious to get here by all means of transportation.  Attendees from Kathmandu can fly to Biratnagar via Airways to Biratnagar or can travel via roadways.

For attendee of different cities of Nepal, you can drive via roadways by the means of transportation like Bus, Car, Van, Bike etc.

If you are not able to go to Biratnagar Airport directly, you can choose this below two alternative airports as well.

Rajbiraj Airport is another domestic airport near Biratnagar. It is about 78KM away from Biratnagar. You can take public vehicles to reach Biratnagar from Rajbiraj.

Bhadrapur Airport is 108 KM away from Biratnagar.  You can take a direct flight from Kathmandu.

From Outside Nepal

For International Attendees, Biratnagar is located near Indian border Jogbani where people can trip to Biratnagar via train from India.

Attendees from India or other countries can come via airways to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi (DEL) and take another transit flight to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) and drive almost 2-3 hours by bus to Biratnagar via Kakarvitta. These transits may cost you low and meet your budget.

You can also look for a direct flight to Bagdogra Airport (IXB).

But, if you desired to fly directly to Biratnagar next you can fly to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (KTM) following another transit to Biratnagar Airport (BRT).

From Kathmandu, you can take public transport like Bus, Microbus etc.  to reach Biratnagar.

Dharan

Some cities have a distinct character! Dharan is one of them. The Koshi Tappu

Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is the smallest of Terai’s National Park. However, it is a birdwatcher’s paradise. The grassland habitat is home to almost 500 species of birds and is also the habitat for endangered water buffalo species called the Arna. This place was founded in 1976 and it is located on Sapta Kosi river, one of the tributaries of River Ganga. Distance from Biratnagar to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve is approx. 46 Km.

Highlights: The wildlife reserve is certainly a serene arena, where you can enjoy rare species of birds, from Swamp francolin to Sarus Crane and Bengal Florican. During the winters, migratory species from Siberia and Tibet welcome you. This place is popular for Gangetic dolphins as well, along with marsh muggers, golden jackals, blue bulls, deer, civet cats, and porcupines. Visit the bridge at Koshi Barrage to spot Gangetic dolphins. You will be surprised at the number of animals and the natural beauty that can be observed at this place.

Vedetar

The popular place “Vedetar” located in the south-east of than Kuta. The shrine is dedicated to the reincarnation, Barah and the images of the boar are spread beautifully throughout the temple. The temple is located at the confluence of might Saptakoshi and Koka Rivers.
