In the ancient time the Kingdom of Virata, earlier as Gograha Bazaar which is now called Biratnagar recognized as one of the oldest city of Nepal. In Nepali &#8220;Birat&#8221; means huge and &#8220;Nagar&#8221; means a place or a city.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> It is famous for industry, commerce, and agriculture in Nepal as most of the manufacturing industries are located in this region.
